The only way student quality and enrollment will improve is if we increase admission criteria .... too many students are choosing TSU for the wrong reasons and have the wrong idea of what college is about. Someone told me that hundreds of students get kicked out for below 1.0 GPAs which is hard...

I see they lied .... last fall they (university) were reporting over 2,000 students enrolled.

Right now PVAMU got us on campus pride (the shootings really put us back a bit) .... TSU definitely can compete though but the dynamic has changed now that PV has its new stadium for sure. I really wished TSU screened students better, I've encountered so many ignorant students who publicly bash...

I just read the profiles of the valedictorians/salutatorians in Austin and San Antonio this year and not one is going to TSU .... but I did see two headed to PV. This is still of course baffling to me b/c I feel like we are definitely in a position to compete more for those students .... we now...

So I just went through the list of valedictorians and salutatorians in Houston and Dallas this year and not one committed to Texas Southern University. This is troubling considering I seen at least three that committed to Prairie View A&M, three committed to University of Arkansas at Pine...

Excuse my french but this the fucking bullshit that helped push me away from Houston. Almost every story I read recently about Austin Lane accepting the president role by a Houston-based publication has had a negative narrative and tone about the university .... all doom and gloom and it pisses...

Yeah, my first impression is positive however the Board of Regents are the problem I hear .... I'm hearing a lot of pettiness and foolishness from their end. And they can make his life a living hell if he doesn't dance to their beat .... as much as I dislike Rudley, they ran his ass out.

He's taking over TSU at a great time .... when Rudley took it over we were in the pits (morale and image wise). Now we are further off the ground.
