Former [Waco] Midway and Texas Southern basketball star Krissica “Spoon” Harper will hold basketball clinics for boys and girls starting this week.
The Purpose Basketball Leadership Academy will focus on both leadership and basketball fundamentals for beginner, intermediate and advanced players. Boys’ clinics begin Tuesday at the Dewey Community Center and will run every Tuesday through June 24. Fifth through eighth grade players will work out from 6 to 7 p.m., while high school players will begin at 7. The girls’ clinics will begin Thursday at the same times – 6 to 7 p.m. for 5-8th graders; 7 to 8 p.m. for 9th-12th.
