FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – The 2024 track & field season came to an end as Turey Stoudmire and Chadrick Williams competed at the NCAA West First Round on Friday.
Stoudmire entered the high jump at 6-8¼ feet and cleared the bar in one attempt. He moved up to 6-10¼ feet and cleared it in one attempt before moving up to 7¼ feet. He had three attempts at the aforementioned height but couldn’t clear the mark to move on to the next round of jumps.
Competing at his final prelims and looking to punch a second straight ticket to nationals, Williams jumped 50-feet on his first attempt. He returned and posted a length of 48-10¾ feet on the second jump before closing out with his best mark of the day at 50-2¾ feet.
