Three Texas Southern women’s soccer players earned SWAC preseason honors the league announced on Tuesday morning. Forward Isabella Dillow was named to the All-SWAC First Team while Midfielders Victoria Pucci and Liliane Baez was named to the All-SWAC Second Team.
In her first season at Texas Southern, Dillow has already proven herself to be an elite player as she was named the 2023 SWAC Freshman of the Year. Dillow had the second most team goals with seven, including four in SWAC play against Alcorn State, Mississippi Valley, Southern, and Jackson State. Dillow also sits in the top five of the conference in multiple categories including game-winning goals having two, assists with four, and shots taken with 36 in 16 games played.
In her senior year, Victoria Pucci played in 21 games while starting in 15, putting in over 1300 minutes of hard work on the field. Pucci scored three goals for the Tigers and contributed to the Tigers road to the 2023 SWAC Tournament.
Baez had a stellar junior season as she put in over 1000 minutes on the field and rounding out the season with five goals in 19 games played (12 started).
Texas Southern is set to open the 2024 campaign August 9 against Sam Houston State inside Alexander Durley stadium. Kickoff is set for 11 a.m.
