Texas Southern vs. New Orleans

LAFAYETTE, La. —
Despite a gritty effort in a marathon second set, Texas Southern was unable to overcome New Orleans on Saturday, falling 3-0 (25-19, 32-30, 25-12) in its second match of the Sawyer Camillo Memorial Tournament.

Senior Kourtni Collier paced the Lady Tigers with eight kills and 13.5 points, while Keldri Young added seven kills and Lauren Battle contributed six. TSU posted 11 total blocks, its highest of the tournament, and pushed UNO to the brink in a dramatic second set that featured eight tie scores and two lead changes.

Texas Southern's defense kept the match competitive early, but a drop in offensive efficiency in the third set sealed the sweep. The Tigers fell to 0-2 on the season.
