Of course I was at the game and here are my observations.

1) Prairie View A&M is overrated. They were selected to win the conference and they definitely did not play like it. Brand new stadium, selected #1 in the preseason SWAC, most of the fans at the game were theirs due to PV unfair ticket policy ... I was expecting confidence and execution on their end but didn't happen. Honestly I thought we would be down by 20 points or so by halftime but of course it didn't happen. And had our starting quarterback not got hurt, we would've won

2) Our defensive looked way better!!! The coverage was pretty much there, little to no missed tackles, so the defense gave a solid effort. Our offensive is pretty solid too except for the running back position. Our running back is way too small and lacks power, I see him doing well only against lower tier SWAC teams with shitty defenses. Hopefully we get a recruit next season who can get the job done like it needs to be done.

3) Our second string quarterback is too short to really be effective. I know he can barely see across the line and that's a problem, quarterbacks need to be at least 6'0" in Division I college football. But I mean he didn't do like extremely terrible but in my opinion it's really no competition ... the starting quarterback is way better.

4) The morale of our team is good thanks to the improved coaching staff.

5) Despite the lost, I see a lot of good things and happy with the hire and direction of the program ... champs in the making.

PS - The SWAC refs ain't shit. Since when does it take 10-15 minutes to review a single play, that was burning me up and just slowed the game down too much ... it was bad enough we had a two hour delay.

I only got to watch on TV, but that second lightning delay caused a lot of people to leave it seemed like. I read/heard a lot of logistical problems with the stadium and holy shit, $12 for a fish basket!?

When Christophe went down, the offensive reads looked different when Hurts was in. I simply think it was a lack of preparation with his snaps. You don't usually prepare for the QB1 to be injured.

SWAC ref didn't know the down or the penalty half the time it was pissing me off from home. The reviews come in from SWAC league offices in Birmingham, I believe.

I am proud to be a TSU Football fan again!

Nelson, you have no idea. .... the concession line was so slow it's maddening and everything so overpriced. Not only that but a small 12 fl oz of water was $5.00 and they didn't have any water fountains. The beer tasted funny and there was no back support with the seats unlike our stadium. Also the tickets I purchased online was supposed to be near the top on the 50 b/c that's what I selected, I printed out my tickets and it had me at the bottom on the 50. But I will say the parking was easy and plentiful (it's in the country, nothing but land) and the stadium up close looked really nice. Still I honestly prefer our stadium than theirs.

You're right, most second string QBs normally throw on the sideline throughout the game just in case ... Hurt didn't. Hurt wasn't expecting to get in lol. But what's odd is that Christophe didn't look hurt or in pain in the second half (I watched him closely walking around and stuff). I just think he was afraid to go in for whatever reason. But I will say this about Hurt, he seems well respected and liked by the team so that's good ... I see everything on the sideline (I was so close thanks to the dysfunctional ticketing system at PV).

But yeah right now is a great time to be a Tiger Fan. The TSU fans there were pretty crunk and were louder than the PV fans despite being heavily outnumbered. Almost all of us stayed while most of PV fans left ... we're definitely more loyal than PV.

It's almost like they didn't expect the stadium to be sold out!
