MONTGOMERY, Ala. – The Texas Southern women's golf team finished fifth place overall at the ASU Spring Invitational hosted by Alabama State University on Monday.
The ASU Spring Invitational took place at Arrowhead Country Club. It was scheduled to be a 54-hole tournament, but inclement weather shortened the event to 36 holes.
Graduate student Kennedi Lee was the top scorer for the Tigers with her 161 (79 – 82) finish and placed 15th individually. Fellow graduate student Alexa Gonzalez moved up six spots on the leaderboard to 18th place with her 163 (83 – 80) finish.
The Tigers are back on the road this weekend as they gear up to compete in the Arcis HBCU Golf Championship in Weston, Fla.
