NAPA VALLEY, Calif. - – The Texas Southern Men's Golf team is teeing it up again this week at the Bridgestone Collegiate Invitational.The team finished in third place after posting a team total of 896 (299 – 300 – 297) at the ASU Hornet Invitational Hosted by Alabama State University in Puerto Rico last week. Freshman Yashal Shah was the top scorer for the Tigers as he finished in second place overall with a 2-under-par total of 214 (70 -72 – 72). Shah was the overnight leader after his 2-under-par opening rounds of 142 (70 – 72). His final round consisted of four birdies, 11 pars, two bogeys, and a double carding an even-par 72 to conclude the tournament.
The Bridgestone Collegiate Invitational will take place at the Silverado Country Club (North Course). The tournament format includes 54 holes over two days with the opening rounds of 36 holes beginning Monday and the final round on Tuesday.
